The Magic of the Circle: Reflecting on our First Winter Craft Circle in Bend
The winter season has a way of calling us inward, inviting us to find warmth not just in our homes, but in each other. On December 20th, we held our very first Craft Circle in Bend, and my heart is still full from the magic we created together.
It was a beautiful afternoon of slow living. We gathered in a circle—beginners and experienced creators alike—to share space, stories, and the rhythmic medicine of beading and crafting. To me, these gatherings are the heartbeat of Miigwetch Designs. They remind us that beading / crafting is more than a craft; it is a way to foster kinship and celebrate our shared heritage while our souls merge with our creative creations.
Watching hands move in unison and hearing the laughter shared over beverages was the perfect way to enter the solstice season. A huge chi miigwetch (thank you deeply) to everyone who brought their beautiful spirit to the circle.
